Characteristics of T-3 Refractory Bricks

(1) Strong adaptability. T-3 refractory bricks can adapt to various kilns and various forms of brickwork.

(2) Appropriate weight. Each clay T-3 refractory brick weighs about 3.5kg. Each semi-silica T-3 refractory brick weighs about 3.4kg, and each siliceous T-3 refractory brick weighs about 3.2kg. This weight is more suitable for kiln masonry operations.

(3) Appropriate volume. The overall dimensions of T-3 refractory bricks are 230*114*65. This volume is convenient for construction and masonry.

Uses of T-3 Refractory Bricks

Boiler exterior walls, kiln interiors, chimney flue masonry, residential building firewalls, decorative flooring, etc.

Because T-3 refractory bricks are widely used, red bricks are often used for wall reinforcement in the construction of some kilns. T-3 bricks are 65mm thick, plus 2-3 mm mortar joints (usually built with refractory clay), the maximum thickness is 67-68mm. The thickness of the red brick is 53mm, and with the addition of 5-8mm mortar joints, the actual thickness is 58-61mm. In the masonry of industrial boilers, T-3 red bricks are required to interlock with each other every few layers to enhance the strength between them. Since the two bricks have different thicknesses and are not on the same plane, the bite is not good. Therefore, it is best to use the same type of refractory bricks when building masonry.

Types of Refractory Raw Materials for T3 Bricks

1. High-alumina raw bauxite, alumina content greater than 75%, iron oxide content less than 1.5%, silica content less than 3%, and other impurities are trace. It can be used to produce high-alumina bricks, mullite, and alumina-magnesia spinel.

4. Lightweight refractory aggregate, volume density 0.8-1.2, high strength. Mainly used as raw materials for lightweight insulation bulk materials.

What is the Difference between T3 Refractory Bricks, T38 Refractory Bricks and T19 Refractory Bricks?

Cylindrical lining is built with T3 bricks, T38 bricks, and T39 bricks (thicker lining), or T3 bricks, T19 bricks, and T20 bricks (thinner lining). Strict calculations must be carried out during design to ensure that the brick joints are basically consistent.
